Thirty South Fifth is owned and operated by an alumnus of Bucknell and his wife. It is offered for lease on a yearly basis.

 Extended lease terms are also available.

Thirty South Fifth is a highly sought after rental property that is generally rented 2 years in advance.  As such prospective renters are encouraged to contact us as soon as they develop an interest in Thirty South Fifth.  We always have multiple offers for renting the house.  We honor the first signed lease received with the deposit that is provided to us.  It is very important to work with your room mates to be sure you are all committed to living with each other at Thirty South Fifth and that you are all ready and willing to sign the lease.  If you are not ready, others may get their lease in first and secure the house.

2006-2007: The 2006-2007 Lease term is currently reserved.  Thanks for keeping the house is great shape!

2007-2008: The 2007-2008 Lease term is currently reserved. 

2008-2009: The 2008-2009 Lease term is currently reserved. 

2009-2010: The 2009-2010 Lease Term is currently reserved.

2010-2011: The 2010 - 2011 Lease Term is currently reserved.

2011-2012: The 2011-2012 Lease Term is currently reserved.

2012-2013: The 2012-2013 Lease Term is currently reserved.

2013-2014: The 2013-2014 Lease Term is currently reserved.

2014-2015: The 2014-2015 Lease Term is currently reserved.

The house is available for 2015-2016 and beyond... please inquire via email or phone.

The lease payment is paid biannually. The security deposit required is $3500 and is fully refundable if no property damage occurs. The lease for Thirty South Fifth can be negotiated many years in advance of the expected occupancy date. 

The lease does not include heat, hot water, electricity, telephone service, internet service or garbage removal.  Each of these services are available from local vendors for nominal fees.  The house is heated by oil as is the hot water.  The utilities cost of operating the house highly depends on the current cost of heating oil. 

Undergraduate students, graduate students, visiting faculty, and those wishing to reside in Lewisburg are all welcome to inquire about leasing the property.

The formal contract for the lease is available for your review if you are interested.

The goal of the owners is to provide nice comfortable housing for their tenants.  The owners kindly request that the property be treated with the utmost care to keep it in great shape.

There are absolutely no pets allowed under any conditions.  If evidence of a pet is found forfeiture of the entire security deposit is the penalty.  

The owners also offer a "referral program" for tenants of the house.  If you are a tenant of the house and you find a tenant for next year or any subsequent year, the owners offer a payment of $200 payable on the signing of the lease by the new tenants. Help your friends get a great house and you get rewarded!  To qualify, the renter must provide the name and email address or phone number of the potential lessee directly to the owners and facilitate the viewing of the property and the signing of the lease.  The payment is made when the new lease is signed!
